What has been missing from CC on each car I have had with CC, is a facility to just push a button to cruise at a preset speed. A single button would do it, with each press adding 10mph to the preset speed. 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70..

Three presses it engages at 40 mph. Much simpler, needs less distraction to set it than watching the speedo and then pressing engage. I suspect it would be easy for some electronics wizz to add to the 75's CC system.

I don't think a CC can drive as economically as a good driver driving for economy - cc is blind, it doesn't see the hills and just blindly tries to maintain its set speed. A good driver can add to the speed on the downslope, to save fuel on the next hill. There is also some wasted fuel messing about to engage it and disengage.

Over all, they are a good driver assistance and allow the driver to relax and keep their concentration more on the road, than watching the speedo.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
