The fuel boat Callisto stopped by today to top my tank up and we chatted about various fuel-related issues. Apparently coal will be £80 a tonne more this year because much of it used to come from Russia and Ukraine and that has now been replaced by coal from Australia, with the attendant shipping costs.

That's perfectly understandable. Transporting stuff half way round the world is a great way to get things we don't have locally..... Oh, shock, horror, we do. But only a little, so it wouldn't be worthwhile digging it up ourselves - I believe about 300 years worth.
