He said he'd cut the carpet around the defective part to prevent its replacement suffering the same damp demise. I haven't looked under the seat to see what exactly he has done. Other bad news - they had forgotten to include the cost of the test on the bill, so add £35 to the above figure. Brian, once I have got my old faithful Mitsubishi Delica through its MoT, I'll be contacting you about a T4 remap on the 75. I'd bring the car to you for everything, but the logistics of it might prove impractical! I wasn't expecting to find the airbag light was due to a failed part, rather I expected him to find and fix a poor connection. They have only charged me £54 incl VAT for a new tyre to match the one I paid £75 for last year at the same tyre centre, so it's swings and roundabouts. It's nice to know my hard work on the suspension now leaves the car with only advisories for 3 tyres and a slight oil leak (crank front seal).
