Get into the back one foot behind each seat.
Move it to 2
using your feet a fulcrums, keep your elbows locked if you can, and pull back with your legs preparing to roll into the seat.
Doing it this way always works for me, and avoids flattened nostrils.
I am not the tallest, so I can do this easily, am not sure how it would be if you were over 5'10''.
