What is the lead that it has?

A water leak.

When I bought it the cap didn’t come off to see how much was in and it was very dirty, I bought a new unit, pulled the other one off to see it was completely dry! Fortunately the owner before had only done about 300 miles in it this year, because he owns a motor home and uses that, but if he did use the rover then the engine would’ve fried!

The garage who serviced and MOTd it suspect it’s something to do with the water gasket, so it’s going to be sorted and back home in the coming days.
