The Google maps (?) where you can see the route and drive along it has a Flood sign at the side of the road. Surely someone local keeps the signs and puts them out when needed as they do when the dips either side of the bridge in our village flood. The "young" (was going to lads but that may be considered sexist in the "Correct" age) on motor bikes all going through one way and 3 of the 4 taking the foot bridge on the way back amused me; they all went relatively slowly through the water on the 1st pass. On the web it gives the wading depth for a Discovery 4 as 700mm; havent checked it but going through 2 ft of water at speed is a bit of a risk. Also worry about the amount of water getting into the void spaces and increasing the opportunity for corrosion.
