Just got back from a 200 mile round trip. Nothing remarkable in that. But in the last year she has become lumpier and sluggish with a bit of smoke on start up. Diagnosed diesel injector fault so invested in a set of recon ones. Fitted them and she ran even worse, on 3 cylinders most of the time. However a bit of disconnecting and it was a different cylinder misfiring now. Put an old injector back in now she will catch pigeons again. New shocker on the back to replace a leaking one (just out of warranty wouldn't you know), and she is silent again on the back.
So, 200 miles non stop reminded me how good these cars still are, even with 285 000 on the clock. Hopefully that should see us to 300 000 and beyond!
