You need to clean the contacts in the mirror switch with contact cleaner/rubber - this involves taking the switch out of the car - you can gently prise the switch out of its setting using a flat headed screw driver or even an old plastic bank card. You then will see 2 plugs which you can disconnect. You then need to remove the top of the switch cover with tweezers to prise out the connecting clips - you then come to a green circuit board - the gold contacts on the board need cleaning - either a pencil rubber on the contacts or contact cleaner. It may seem difficult but am sure there are pictures on the forum showing you how to do it. I have done it twice to different mirror switches and it has worked both times .
