Depending on how worn the metal bar is that these attach to sometimes they can be hammered on in place securely, in some other cases where the bar is more worn these have to be glued in place.
Cheers Rick, the repair so far is nice and solid. They adjusted well. If it wasn't honking down, I'd be swapping the burners out for the Osrams I bought....
