Hi Marshall.
Another solution but I prefer that the sunroof tube goes into the connector or what ever device people use, rather than the going over the object as is your case the Berol felt tip, which I doubt many will have lying about.
if you do not have connectors what most people or homes will have are these below
garden hose and or sealant tube tops.
