The ball clips can be broken especially if trying to get the cluster off from a rusted screw

I recommend regularly removing the screws and applying some grease say every 6 month or so but at least annually when refitting do not over tighten

I also recommend as they are cross heads that Torx screws are used instead

I noticed this less than ideal design "feature" on my ZT-T.

I glued the insert in with superglue - doesn't rotate now.
