From what I understand,and in my opinion, Steel seal is the best of the last resort options.

I personally would only consider using it if I'd attempted all the other options considered reasonable in terms of economical repairs in relation to the value of my car to me. I suppose if a repair like replacing V6 head gaskets, or liner leak, I would probably use it.
