Removed the radio from the ZT, disassembled it and fitted a female USB A flying lead direct to the PCB.
No need to have a lead hanging out of the front now, and I've refitted it to the car albeit temporarily, as I'm waiting for my chassis mount USB socket to arrive, but the test run was a complete success.
