AFAIK the uk is the only country to have a flag that's so difficult to determine which way up it is! Many representations don't offset the the white and red X's at all - I've just stared at the forum banner and can't see that it would be any different rotated 180 degrees. Another point is that when printed which side is the flagpole? I've far more issue with these blacked out Union jack patches on uniforms than which way up it should be.
