Worked on the car today in -2 while doing the usual seeking constant reassurance over the phone from my friend. Replaced both track rod ends and both front droplinks.

Nice and easy on one side however on the other side I had to cut the droplink off. I then discovered about 1/4 of the bracket which the top goes into was missing so rather than having a hole to put the link through, I had a fork shape to slide it into. I thought I'd cut the bracket myself by accident but realised it had already been broken so I felt less depressed about it. Have put two big washers either side of the bracket as my friend suggested but who knows how long it will last
