My tourer is now showing rust in the nearside sill adjacent to the jacking point.
I am worried that the sill may give way when jacking the car at that side.

Is it necessary to replace the whole sill or can a body shop just cut out the rusty bit and weld in a new section?

Anybody had this done?

Any idea of the cost for a repair or replacement?
