Well I decided to have a go at fitting that new tie bar today as the weather was very good. It has to be because it's not a lot of fun crawling around under you car when you are 82 like I am.
Came off very easily.---Then things went down hill.

It was in perfect condition with no signs of damage or deterioration at all.---In fact it looked a better job than the new pattern part.---

So------I put it back on.

I used a 3 foot long steel bar on all the suspension parts to see if I could find any wear in pivots or ball joints; Nothing.-

Will continue the search tomorrow.
