Am I missing out on something, have I missed a big announcement of exactly how this vaccination programme is supposed to work?

I've heard about the age tiers etc, I've heard about some local 80 plussers going to a surgery 6 miles away to have jabs, I've heard about mass vaccination centres, none of which are nearer than 30 miles, I've heard about letters being sent out, but as far as I know nobody has actually outlined how the process actually proceeds.

It would be nice to know, for instance, if the first notification you get is a letter outlining options, it would be even nicer if those options were published openly in advance, but I've not seen that anywhere. It would be nice to know if those options were have a jab some distance away or wait for local contact on a mop up basis and show that would work.
