Default Fixed - Thank you!

After detaching the master under the battery housing and pressing it down to find it quite firm, I took it to the garage to have the whole clutch replaced with a kit where necessary.

When they looked at the master cylinder it was quite wet and empty so they wanted to check it wasn't that first. I believe they filled it up with fluid and once they did it was fine?

This lead to a leakage under the bell housing which as read above suggests it is the slave. They also checked the dmf which had no play whatsoever!

So they went ahead and replaced the clutch and concentric leaving the master.

The clutch works like a dream now, is much lower and lighter! Turns out I also had a weak looking gear cable which was also replaced.

A week on and the clutch is still working fine, but to my despair last night the front nearside suspension coil spring snapped so I've ordered a couple parts from eBay and I'm going to get them to do the springs and mounts/bearings.

Won't be arriving til Tuesday so it looks like another couple of work days without the car

Thanks for the help all!
