I too took a similar decision back in the autumn and purchased a 2007 Diahatsu Sirion as a winter car / run around vehicle.

My current insurer did not offer a multicar policy based on only one driver so I was forced to take out a new policy with no NCD. Your problem will be that Rovers are seen as high risk vehicles therefore the insurance group and premium will be high.
