was just about to say this, it would be the most common time I notice it behaving slightly differently to normal.
Also if in sport mode it will do it too (but I imagine you would have been aware of this).
Driving hard for an extended period of time, as the box is self learning, it can hang onto the revs for a little longer than would be 'normal'. It will return to lower revs if it is driving gently for a period of time. This is particularly noticeable after disconnecting the battery (or of course the autobox fuse) - ditto if the battery has been low or failed too.
