If people look up the Summer of 1816 they'll find it was the year without a Summer due to volcanic activity. That year was a very bad year for crops and there were actually gangs ambushing people for meagre amounts of food. It's an interesting story and many are unaware of it, there's also pictures to be seen of Niagara falls frozen solid in 1911 if you look for them or Paris flooded in 1910. It's got to be those cars!
