I have no idea really. We have several silver birch next to it and it wasn't silver birch, or willow. It has a course, rough bark is about as much as I know. It had spread sideways blocking access to the extreme rear of the garden, so I cut a limb off and trimmed it back a couple of decades ago. My trimming seems to have caused rot at the base which weakened it and down it came.

I suppose I could take a photo of a leaf and try to ID from that..

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
