I say go for it!
When i was based in Naples some years ago, I discovered a beautiful '77 Pontiac firebird V8 sat beside a garage next to our local vehicle registration office. i would pass it a few times every week and would have loved to buy it. When i eventually plucked up the courage to talk to the garage owner, he said he wished I had spoken to him months before. He had just literally sold it to a local Italian and the paperwork was causing him lots of headaches!! I regretted my inaction ever since
