The idea of fitting a left hand drive seat is certainly good but I'd guess transportation costs would be prohibitive. But looked at one for you:

Rover SD1 used quite large spacers between the seat rails and the floor, about 3/8" but I doubt that would be enough lift to keep the good lady happy.
