Thank goodness you get to see the surgeon just before you go into theatre, he actually marked my right side with a big green arrow and altered the paperwork. Just imagine if I didn't make those checks? It wasn't the surgeon who made the mistake, but somewhere along the paper-trail the mistake was made, not sure who it was though.
