I had two clutches fitted in quick succession to my ZT (think a couple of weeks apart).
AFAIK same brand of friction plate and slave used both times.
Car had always had a heavy clutch so when it first got replaced it was a revelation in lightness. Then when it was replaced again, back to the same heavy feeling.
I don't really know much about the mechanics but I assumed it was down to fitting - especially how (or even if) the clutch hub spline was lubricated and a good fit (i.e. not too tight).
