Over some time I have observed quite a number of what might be termed almost irate posts by people trying to sell their cars in the members section on here who fail to sell ( I'm not suggesting in this particular case ).

It never ceases to amaze me that sellers get so upset because nobody has snatched their hand off and they seem to take it quite personally.

Whilst it is natural to be disappointed, hasn't it struck people that it might be nothing to do with price or condition but more to do with the fact that no one on this forum wants that particular car at the time that they are trying to sell it?

There might be someone who has been looking for exactly the car being sold but don't have any spare cash at the time, someone else may love to have it but already have 3 other Rovers or other cars and can't justify or accommodate another car.

It may not be in the spec or fuel derivative that the small amount of people at any one time are looking for.

It may not be in the colour or not have a sunroof that an eager buyer has been looking for for weeks.

It might be in a distant part of the country and a potential buyer doesn't wish to travel that far.

It could be that a suitable potential buyer has bought another car just a week or two previously and may well be kicking themselves that they had just bought but would have preferred the new one on offer but it's now too late.

It could be any reasonable reason amongst dozens that the fairly limited number of people at any one time on this forum might be considering that rules 'this particular one out'.

Again some sellers (not this one) almost sound aggressive in their rhetorical comments after no one has come forward to snap their hand off to buy their car, even one at a very reasonable price and condition.

And I think those who do get a touch narky have a real cheek in virtually trying to make others feel bad even though we're already fixed up with our own cars.

I think that some people need to chill out and accept that theres nothing wrong with their car or the price advertised but that there just isn't anyone on the forum who wishes to buy it at that time. Another time it might fly off the shelf.

It's just pot luck but no reason to get narky about it and wrong of failed sellers to harp on trying to make others who are just minding their own business feel bad for some bizarre reason.

There almost seems to be a presumed right that someone off the forum must buy a car for sale in the members section simply because it's a Rover 75 forum.

Well it doesn't work like that, never did and never will.
