Front windscreen: S reg Rover 75

A few years ago I asked a friend to change the front windscreen wiper on the above saloon.

I didn’t watch as I had something else to do in the house. Later on I heard a whack and when I looked out at the 75, the front windscreen was badly cracked after my friend had let go of the wiper with it springing back onto the glass.

Poor chap was mortally embarrassed, as though the world had come to an end.

I was okay and not upset. It was a genuine accident and the insurance company agreed to pay for a replacement windscreen (North London).
