When you do renew, check that you don't lose anything that was on the old one. I was put on a restricted licens due to a period of dizziness and when things improved and I got my license back again, I had lost minibus and 7.5 tonne entitlement. It meant a lot of form filling to get them back again so I never bothered as I didn't use them any more. It never occured to me that I may need to hire them in the future.
The daft part was I still had motorcycles on my restricted license!
