First go to http://www.autotrader.co.uk/sell-my-car
then key in the registration number of the car you want to check and the mileage.

Then press "Next Step"

As you can see, on this example, the car is recorded as Cat. C under the car details.
Should the car be clear, then there will be nothing shown.

Just did this, and Autotrader very helpfully suggested that I set a sale price of £560
. In order to make me feel better, they also kindly informed me that this price was £450 more than I would get in a part exchange deal
. So that's all good then.
