I think the 75 was basically a classic from launch, with its retro styling and old world charm interiors harking back to cars from the early part of the last century, but with modern build quality. With Rover itself folding after such a history the 75 was the last of the greats and its place in the history books secured. It wont be a true classic until the last of the cheap daily runabouts are off the road and the remaining cars are cherished examples owned by enthusiasts.
