It must have passed at least one MoT with broken springs so that shows how difficult it can be to spot.

When you look for replacements, you need to take the rear seat cushion out and check the label underneath it to see what type of springs your car has.

They're easy to replace and require the minimum of disassembly.

I've changed the rear shockers on a tourer before.
Is there much more work to replace the springs? I wouldn't have a spring compressor.
The label under the seat is blank. Car is a cdti contemporary 2004.
Also, will changing the spring alter tracking as just had that done last week.
