It has an LPG conversion so is reasonably economical.But you do need to use the revs to get any sort of performance out of it.

I would assume the diesel would have more torque and be more economical.

Overall a nice car with Toyota reliability.
You should not be able to feel much difference between petrol and LPG, I would have the filter checked and the LPG system retuned...
