Our local city of Chester seems committed to shopping suicide . They are closing the car parks to build bus-stations , but at the same time the bus company has cancelled many of the routes which could have taken you there
The one bus I can now get into Chester now goes a long way round ( you need to pack sandwiches ) , and via the huge Cheshire Oaks retail Outlet Village !!! Needless to say , anyone going shopping now gets off there and doesn't bother going on to Chester . To add insult to injury , the authorities have also banned the use of my pensioners' bus-pass on the park-and-ride which I might have used instead . Couldn't organise a something in a brewery ……………...
….and by the way , parking at Cheshire Oaks is free !
