Hi Andrew.
excellent news yes the 1.8T has the same cowling as the diesel, some sellers even say that it will suit a diesel but evade saying that the wiring will need modifying

you may need to have the gas checked on the car to make sure the A/C is working as it should, I read today we are in for a 3 week heat wave before the end of August & early September
