Read something that as the laser dot gets further away I think the size increases. Where would you then measure from? Ringing Bosch now to ask.

For what you want a Laser level would be perfect and very much cheaper than the item you mention.

Measure from the center of the dot.

In my building days I've been responsible for the installation of more than 4,000 cubic metres of concrete. All done with a Laser level.

That's well over 8,000 tons of concrete.-( )
