Yes the XF is a lovely car with loads of power and luxury to boot, but they are susceptible to electrical gremlins.
I had a 3.0D Premium Luxury and most of the “problems” were electrical but the big issue was door corrosion.
After a long fight with Jaguar they eventually replaced all four doors but sadly just weeks later I was involved in a non fault accident where the car was written off.
Disillusioned with Jaguar and with poor Main Dealer service I’ve moved to Mercedes with no regrets.
If your car is a 2010 model it may be worth checking the front doors for corrosion. On my car the corrosion was caused by the sound insulation pads on the inside rotting right through.
