If you are careful, it is perfectly possible to re-stake the nuts in the same place, making it look like its never been touched.

Having said that, new nuts are not really hard to get hold of, nor too hard to stake nicely.

Ive seen some real abomimations when it comes to stake nuts, makes you wonder if mechanics work with their eyes closed in the UK.
