Hi all & thanks for kind comments, I recommend if you can get the real wood the deep rich look is amazing compared to the plastic.

I chromed the vents with the standard 3.5mm Chrome strip (as I have some other parts) and seal the join with a dab of silver leaf so it is not so obvious.

Yes cruise control on the wheel but sadly not on the car, the wheel came from a 2.5 connie se.

And yep I can 100% guarantee the centre air bag is smokestone grey as I used the one off my original wheel as the walnut wheel was very tatty. The reason why there is a slight mismatch in colour is because I had to dye the leather on the steering wheel itself & I haven't quite got the colour match right

I ordered some Rover 75 smokestone grey dye which arrived today but the colour is a million miles away from what it should be. If anyone knows of a good supplier or has a colour matched product please let me know. Probably have to do battle with the eBay supplier to get my money back now

So pleased with the look can't get mad about it.

Next projects:

Power fold mirrors
new 1 din DVD & Satnav

It's never ending - I say a hobby others say obsession
