I can completely relate to this.
I have a job I enjoy but I don't earn massive money.
After bills, shopping and mortgage there's a couple hundred quid left over at the end of every month which the head says 'Stick it in your savings'.
But at the end of the day I'm a car lover, it's a hobby and a passion of mine and there's always that one job you want to do that eats up the money you had left over.
Luckily mine aren't costing too much to run lately. An oil and filter service every 6 months and the cost of the MOT, tax and insurance I can live with.
But I've got a baby on the way now and there comes a time you have to really think hard about whether you really need that panel resprayed because it lets the car down, or whether I
really need those stainless steel bolts for the bumpers.
There are more important things at the end of the day but cars do strange things to us - and people say they are just things!
