Anybody know if having the bonnet up prevents the BCU (?) from going fully to sleep ?

And personally I think the 25.5V AC meter reading is the meter leading you up a blind alley. Otherwise there would be massive AC currents charging and discharging the battery. But I am open to other enlightened opinions.
