The Tamarind Tree

What can’t be seen is the Indian Ocean behind the hedge, just out of sight. We had lunch there yesterday at a friends house. They had a lovely garden of 88 acres which is part coral reef and has bat caves in the grounds, the ruins of a mosque with tombs and a cemetery. When they cleared away the vegetation around the plot, they came across skeletons in the decaying tombs.

The Beach Boys keep away from the property because of superstition.

The tree could have come out of one of Grimm's Fairy Tales.
