In my 9 years ownership of a 1.8t tourer i have had 2 leaks - one leak was the IMG and the other was loose coolant hose to the turbo - both leaks were identified by putting her up on a ramp in my local garage and running her until the leak was evident with the under tray off -the IMG leak took an hour to manifest itself. I also swopped out the MGR rubber hose for silicone hose, put a metal t piece in and change the coolant cap every 18 months - 5 years no problems.
