Owned within our family since 2016. We bought this car at 85,000 miles for very little money. After a lengthy first ownership within one family it had then been a bit neglected for a couple of years but was clearly worth rescuing. The interior was remarkably well preserved, the overall sheen of the paintwork impressive and the specification massive. We invested £4.5k in a complete recommissioning that covered assorted mechanical fixes, reconstruction of both rear sills and tidying up various scuffs around the edges of the bodywork. Since that time it has served us well as a reliable daily driver. Mechanical work including cam belt replacement was carried out in early 2017 by Warwickshire MG Rover specialists Lates 600. Body and paint repairs by our trusted bodyshop in Reading, Mark Allen Cars. Fully maintained and kept within our family since then.
Spec includes HiLine Navigation, Harmon Kardon Audio System, Cruise Control, Electric Adjustment for Front Seats, Drivers Seat Memory, Heated Front Seats, Folding Rear Seat with ski hatch and ski bag, Electric Rear Blind, 17" Meteor Factory Option Alloy Wheels (including full-sized Meteor spare wheel).
MOT until January 2022. Oil service completed 8 April 2021. Excellent mechanical order and beautiful interior. Bodywork overall looks amazing but there are some scuffs and scratches accumulated since 2016 which could do with sorting out (front bumper repaint plus smart repair / machine polishing on drivers door, rear bumper and bootlid estimated by Mark Allen Cars at £400). Asking price reflects overall condition and I'm happy to have a conversation regarding the cosmetic blemishes with anyone who will make me a serious offer. I have another Connoisseur with very low mileage and can't really justify continuing to run both cars. Would love this one to go to an enthusiast who will appreciate the care and attention this lovely car has already been given.
