Its not that old and if it was a problem with the motor brushes it wouldn't pick up to "normal" speed after running for a few minutes.

Been looking for some kind off troubleshooting guide or service/maintenance schedule but can't find anything. User guide tells you bugr all! Guess I'll have to wait for a reply to my email.
