I took everything off to get to the plenum chamber.
Today I've been out and checked the relay next to the ecu. No sign of burning or melting, Although this was assessed by sight as I couldn't get it out of the box.
Cleaned up the plastic stuff and put everything back.
Put the battery back on, 12.83v.
Switched on, multi-meter dropped to 8.7v so new battery is required.
on idle voltage showed 11.11v.
Then she revved up and it went to 14. something.
I didn't get a proper reading for that cos my attention was diverted to blue smoke coming out from below the engine cover. Actually below the turbo inlet.
Smelled like burning plastic. Switched off immediately and there was a definite smell of burnt electrical wiring in the cabin

I've had enough. She's due her mot next month and I just haven't got the knowledge, time or money to sort out this latest problem.

I'm putting her on members car for sale for spares or repair.
Anyone interested send me a pm please.
