Yes normally sponges are evil, but the way ONR works means that an open cell sponge is the best and safest thing to use. A microfiber or lambswool mit holds the dirt (which you arent washing away with loads of water remember), and that can scratch.

Its a little trickier than a normal wash, but it works, the strangest thing is that ONR doesnt foam up.
