Had ol' Betsy into another garage overnight to see if they could identify and cure the strange knocking noise from the front nearside

This noise doesn't affect the steering or braking, but jeez, is it annoying or what !

It sounds as though something is tapping against the bulkhead, and it occurs at any speed and 2 garages have heard it but have so far failed to diagnose the cause, so I wonder if any of you chaps have heard of this or could it be that I have a poltergeist passenger ?
