My grandad used to have a metal biscuit tin with holes drilled in the top and sides (for air flow) and a few tea light candles in the bottom. The lid would get quite hot and a few minutes later, the shed/garage would be toasty.
(Normal health and safety rules apply - ie do not touch when hot etc!)
